Norwich 1 Arsenal 1

West Brom anyone?

November never seems to be an easy month for us to get through, and with the busy December period coming up, I'm just hoping that we're still in contention by January.

This was a very frustrating game to watch, which started with Laurent Koscienly having to be taken off because of a hip problem. It looked like it hurt, but I think he'll probably be back for Sunderland, but you never know with Arsenal.

Norwich stuck to their game plan from the off, as if it wasn't obvious enough that they were going to sit deep and pressure us whenever we were trying to get through their half. They were very disciplined and you have to give credit to them for staying that way. Of course, it's typical of us to make teams look better than they are.

We created lots of good moves in the first half, but none of them had a goal return. Some players like Ozil and Alexis really stood out when playing balls in between the Norwich players, and our chances of scoring kept improving as we went on. Our first goal came from a Norwich mistake where their keeper John Ruddy handed the ball to a Norwich defender, but Alexis brilliantly nicked the ball off of him and played a great pass to Ozil in which he made it 1-0.

                                         &nb…

It wouldn't last long as in typical Arsenal fashion, we got caught out and conceded a soft goal. Even after we had scored, Norwich still looked as if they knew that they could get an equalizer, which they did when Gabriel tried to get the ball off of Grabban, but he slotted it away. They scored in the 43rd minute, how terrible is that? Fifty percent of the goals we've conceded this season have been in the last 15 minutes of the first half. I guess we're getting too comfortable. We also could've been 2-1 down if it wasn't for Hoolahan missing an absolute sitter which came from a cross that our back line had no idea about.

The funny thing is that nothing really changed after the first half, in fact, our situation got worse. Players like Ramsey and Bellerin had poor performances throughout the whole game, when someone like Flamini actually had a very solid performance. The worst part about this game is that we've inevitably lost one of our most important players through injury, bye Alexis, it's been fun.

The guy will never say no to playing, but there has to be a point where we rest him so that things like this don't happen. We're already short as it is, and now there's no guarantee over how long he'll be gone. Another player who looked like he picked up an injury was Santi Cazorla, but he still kept playing. The manager has said that it looks like Santi and Koscienly might be available for the next game, but for Alexis he's not sure. He also said that Alexis said it was a kick to the knee, but he thinks it's more serious. Let's hope they all come back for Sunderland at home.

The only highlight from this half was a brilliant, keeping you in the game kind of save from Petr Cech. The shot came in from what would've been a Gabriel own goal. Now do you see how similar of a game this could have been to West Brom last week?

Oxlade Chamberlain came on for Aaron Ramsey, and the only thing he offered were good crosses which we couldn't do anything with. We then had to see the reappearance of Joel Campbell, who had a "whatever" type of performance when subbed on for Alexis. Giroud had a lack of service today, but he looked off, as did most of the team besides a few such as Ozil.

We now have to play Olympiacos away which looks very un-winnable right now with the current injury situation. It's very disappointing to see such a strong squad diminish so quickly. There's no doubt that we can win the title with a healthy squad, in fact, we should be about 6 points clear, but injuries have again, taken over. Our injuries are always extreme, and what's odd is that no other side seems to have the problems we do. No squad in world football can consistently be good with a deplenished side, and today we seemed to have lost 1-2 more.

At the end of the day, a club like Arsenal should not be losing to a dodgy club like Norwich. They had one shot on target and they got it. It's frustrating, but we have to move on, as hard as it is.
