At today's press conference right before our match against Swansea, a lot of interesting points have been brought up, which show all the different facets on football in relation the to the media.

On injuries...  Are usual players are available, except for Hector Bellerin and Francis Coquelin who will be out for tomorrow's match. Theo Walcott is still out with an injury, a calf problem. Mesut Ozil will be the main man back from illness.

On Ozil...  This was a story that has been blown out of proportion. I'm sure you've heard of it by now, but basically, Ozil gave an interview with German magazine Kicker, and his quotes got misinterpreted by John Cross over at the Mirror, where he said that that Ozil will only sign a new contract if Arsene does, which is not true. I'm 100% certain that Arsene Wenger is a big part of why he came to the club, but he is definitely fond of the club, with or without Wenger.

"I think he has been a bit misinterpreted. I don’t think that is the main part of his decision.

“We always speak, I speak more with his agent on the contract than with him.

“Let’s not forget all these players have 18 months to go, that is a long time in football. I’m very relaxed," said Wenger.

“He would like to know what happens on the managerial front, of course, but I don’t think that’s the main part of his decision.

“I think it’s part of it, but it’s not the only thing. There are many other ingredients in every negotiation. Hopefully we will find a conclusion with him very quickly," said Wenger.

On Jenkinson...  Wenger has mentioned that the club will be letting go of Carl Jenkinson and that his most likely destination will end up at Crystal Palace, where Flamini also plays now.

On the links to Andrea Belotti...  The Torino striker has been linked to us this January transfer window, and the boss simply put it as:

“That’s what today you call fake news.”
